Common ground - Flower parterre

The Common ground project is produce textile concepts for spaces. My starting point is the city squares I traveled in Italy.Compare to the europe square in Beijing seems much different because of the flower parterres. My idea is knit the flower parterres and make the visualization on the square of Chelsea College of  Arts. I use hand knit to make the parterres, they are like puzzles that can match together but keep the gaps between each part. The blanket by mixed fabric from neighbours in China means the best wishes. I used this idea to connect all the parts to a whole blanket.
